Get a label printer
A label printer lets you print out labels individually instead of wasting an entire sheet or risking running a sheet of labels through the printer multiple times which is very risky and can cause expensive repairs to be made to valuable equipment.  Not to mention if you share a printer in a workgroup you won't have the worry of someone sending a job to the printer while it is loaded with labels for your print job and wasting expensive labels.
 
Switch to Internet Fax
Fax machines are some of the most energy-intensive pieces of equipment in the office.  They constantly draw power around the clock because they need to be available to send or receive a fax.  Internet fax services allow you the send and receive faxes via the computer, either through regular email or a secure online server.  They can then be distributed to the recipient, electronically filed or otherwise handled and many times will not require a hard copy therefore saving paper and toner costs.
 
Make better use of meetings
Hold regular meetings to communicate progress, share problems or areas of difficulty, and make certain staff members understand each other's roles.  To avoid wasting time prepare your agenda in advance and send it out to the participants prior to the meeting along with any documentation necessary for discussion.  Don't let meetings turn into gripe sessions but instead use them to bring co-workers together and collaborate on finding ways to resolve issues or problems.
